About Prompetitor

Recreate the artwork. Beat the competition.

What is Prompetitor?

Prompetitor is a prompt competition built on real artwork. You study a piece of art, write a natural-language prompt, and an AI image model tries to recreate it. Your score reflects how closely the result matches the original — plus a small bonus for speed.

This is not a drawing game. It is a test of observation, language, and taste: how well you can describe what you see before the clock runs out.

Real artwork, not AI art

Every challenge starts from a real work — not an AI-generated image. Our library combines public-domain masterpieces, photography from licensed collections, and original works from verified artists in our artist program.

That matters because the game is about human vision meeting language. You are responding to something another person made, with history, intent, and craft behind it.

Game modes

Prompetitor currently offers two live modes, with more in development.

  • DAILY CHALLENGE — Solo · World ranking · 90s: One artwork per day. Compete with the world for the top spot on the global leaderboard.
  • CLASSIC — 2-4 players · 90s: Quick match online or host a private room with friends. Make sure you have the best prompt and beat the clock.
  • FLUX (coming soon) — 2-4 players · 90s: Classic at its core—each round throws in a random twist. Maybe half the clock, or cap your prompt at five words?
  • EXPLORATION (coming soon) — 2-4 players · 90s: Each match picks a random image model. See how the same bowl of spaghetti looks across every one.

How scoring works

After you submit a prompt, the service generates an image and compares it to the original using automated visual similarity scoring, combined with a time bonus when you finish faster.

In multiplayer Classic matches, the highest total score wins the round. In Daily Challenge, your score is ranked on a global leaderboard for that day’s artwork.

Technology

Prompetitor uses third-party AI services for image generation and automated visual scoring. We continually iterate on our scoring logic and image model quality as product needs and technical capabilities evolve.
